Gemstone Panning

Gold Panning

To add to our list of panning specialties, we have introduced gold panning. This type of panning usually takes a little more patience however, the end results are fantastic. There is over a 95% chance of finding real gold in every pan. Be sure and let the whole family get in on this fun adventure.

Emerald Panning

Just like our gold panning, this also takes patience. However, almost all of our guests have found emeralds while partaking of this event. It is the newest to our panning specialties and has proven to be very popular.

Fossil Panning

We are especially excited to be the first attraction in the area to offer the added thrill of fossil panning. You will sift through sand to find real fossils from the Chattanooga area and beyond that are possibly millions of years old! Be sure to inquire about this.

Fossils found include: Amber, Trilobite, Petrified Wood, Sponge Coral, Ammonite, Horn Coral, Gastropod, Shark Teeth, Coral, Brachiopod, Pelecypod, Orthoceras, Crinoids, and Sea Urchins. Usually you will find a sample of each every time you purchase a bag.
